The last points match of the year was held on Charlotte lake at Harbourbridge Lakes near Chickerell on Saturday (23rd). All focus was on our two title contenders, Austin Scott-Kennedy and Jack Copp in the deciding match of the year. But it was Josiah Wells-Parkes who stole the limelight, by catching an impressive 38lbs 15ozs of Carp in some truly horrific conditions. Hurricane Bert did his best to disrupt the day, but eight brave juniors sat it out for the three-hour match, two of whom
only came for ‘fun’! Jack Copp came in second place with 29lbs 3ozs, with Austin Scott-Kennedy just behind with 26lbs 14ozs in third place.

Austin’s third place was enough to win the 2024 Junior Points Championship on 258-points. Congratulations to Austin, Jack and everyone  who has competed this year, winners or not.
